Lindsay Poteat

Director of Legacy Giving

Executive Superintendent of the Mission from the Fall of 1983 until Decemember of 2014, Rev. Poteat had first come to work at PRM in the Spring of 1973. He apprenticed under the Mission's founder, Rev. Jim Lindley full and part time for ten years. Upon Rev. Lindley's sudden death in 1983, the Board of Directors asked Lindsay to return to full time duty as the leader of the ministry. His eight years as a pastor were additional preparation for this work, and the Poteat family returned to the Mission ministry and have been here since then. Rev. Poteat has served many churches in the area by supplying their pulpits or by helping out as interim pastor. Many friends from those churches have become great friends of the Rescue Mission. For more information on how you can continue to help PRM for years to come, email Lindsay.

Rev. Poteat can be heard each Sunday morning at 7:30 on the Bible Broadcasting Network, teaching the international Sunday School lesson since 1991. He and Mrs. Poteat have made numerous trips to the Holy Land, teaching and singing the Word of God while leading groups in the footsteps of Jesus. He is available for pulpit supply, interim pastor work, missions conferences, and other such opportunities to serve churches.
